Ulf Bjorlin was born in Stockholm, Sweden and was surrounded by music from the start, as his father (and namesake) was a renown conductor, composer, pianist, and arranger. Ulf has been singing and playing since he was a child and training started already then. His training includes a prestigious audition-only arts high school, Interlochen Arts Camp in Michigan, Boston University Tanglewood Music Institute, and Manhattan School of Music.

Ulf has played trombone in hundreds of various productions, ranging from operas, to broadway musicals, symphonies, brass quintet concerts, and jazz shows. Ulf excels at all styles of music and has played in latin bands, jazz bands, brass bands, symphonic bands, and orchestras in addition to doing studio and session work. Some of the organizations Ulf played with are the Palm Beach Community College British Brass Band, PBCC Jazz band, PBCC Orchestra, the Palm Beach Atlantic College orchestra, and the Palm Beach Youth symphony as well as playing with the Palm Beach Opera; all while he was still in high school! Ulf is a 5 time All-State and Tri-State Festival Honoree, consistently landing the coveted 1st chair position.

His playing has taken him to many venues including Lincoln Center in NYC, the Kravis Center in Palm Beach, Florida, Altenburg Castle in Germany, and the “Confidencen” in Stockholm, Sweden to name a few. He is very well versed in orchestral playing and orchestral repertoire including all the "trombone standards". Per the recommendation of trombone great Dave Taylor, Ulf was offered a principal trombone position in a Mexican symphony orchestra while still in college, but decided to decline the job offer.

When asked about music, Ulf says "At the risk of sounding cliche, music really DOES enrich and empower the human spirit and makes you feel happy to be alive. When I play and get joyous feedback from audience members, I know its all worth it." His peers say that Ulf has a tremendous sense of humor to balance his professionalism, and he is very easy to work with, always supporting his section and peers.
